Good Afternoon Members:

Last week I attended a vendor meeting hosted by Wayne County Airport Authority’s Business Opportunity Outreach which is in relation to the North Terminal Re-Development at Detroit-Metro Airport.  If you are interested in doing work in this area, I encourage you to log onto their website at www.metroairport.com  to obtain the latest information.    You can also register for a free one year membership to the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN) and, if you have any questions regarding this membership, you may contact Lori White, Business Diversity Manager, Wayne County Airport Authority @ (734) 247-7011.  The Authority’s “Bid List” is part of the MITN Site and requires vendors to self-register.  Lastly, you must be certified as DBE and can work with Michigan Unified Certification Program (MUCP) which provides a one-stop shopping for applicants. You can receive help to be certified as DBE by contacting Lori White.  For opportunities to do business at Wayne County Airport Authority you may contact the Purchasing Division at (734) 247-7900 or you can view all requests for bids, proposals, qualifications, etc., on-line at www.govbids.com.
